Pfft, who needs that silly fad when you have ATL Brazilian Wolverine (like literally Wolverine as a Brazilian) running for presidency or somethin': In reality its some dude who cosplays Wolverine for some political stunt; real strange practice if you ask me. And come to think of it, a version of Wolverine that's literally from Brazil would make an interesting story for Marvel to make into a movie.

While it may not seem much, I just read the news this morning that SNK Playmore just reverted back to just SNK in terms of company title.
For those of you who don't know, SNK had that logo from 1988 to its bankruptcy in 2001 then after its resurrection two years later it had this logo for two years then this logo for nine years until it just had this logo then two years later to the present back to the one shown here. It's quite funny because I have this idea in my TL where SNK is still alive and well and hadn't suffered bankruptcy in OTL 2001 despite WWIII taking place in the mid to late 90's.

Queen (the band) is known for its ties to science fiction. They performed themes for Flash Gordon, Highlander and Star Wars. Here is an appearance of Freddy Mercury, their lead singer, riding the shoulders of Darth Vader.

After the extensive vilification campaign from the Daily Bugle, Spiderman fled New York City for Washington, DC. He kept his costume, but took up the alias of "Mingering Mike". Unlike NYC, Spiderman was quite popular and was even honored by City Council. Not only did the city honor him, but he also had access to various government buildings, including the Supreme Court. (The photo is from an actual DC Council meeting, where they honored a local artist, best known for his paintings of imaginary album covers. The sketch is from an actual Supreme Court artist, of Justice Kagan reading the decision in Kimble v. Marvel Entertainment, LLC.) loweringthebar.net/2013/07/dc-council-honors-spiderman.htmlloweringthebar.net/2015/06/spider-man.htmlwww.supremecourt.gov/opinions/14pdf/13-720_jiel.pdf

Well, I find them from various places I visit. Wikipedia is a good source, and where I got the "Black Panthers Way" picture, the American Bell logo, the San Juan Bautista, and the KOTA logo. I looked for public domain Norman Rockwell art after seeing a bit of the Grissom and Young picture (I saw part on tumblr, and found the rest on NASA's site) and got the "Perpetual Motion" one. I heard of the "Marx and Lennon" stamp years ago on NPR, and found a picture someplace. Tumblr is where I got the Freddy Mercury on Darth Vader. I may also have found the Pepsi ad through a link from there via Cory Doctorow's blog. Craig Murray's remark came from his website. THW's truck came from theirs. The BBC provided the Martin Luther Playmobil and the cover image to "Listen, Marxist!" (The Bugs Bunny as Stalin came from a cartoon I remembered...and the image was hosted by the International Stalin Society. (My using the image does not imply endorsement.)) I'm not sure how I found the Keith Olbermann videos or the Alex Rodriguez scoring a touchdown bit. The X-Wing bit came on some military thing I saw somewhere. Spiderman in DC came from a legal humor blog, "Lowering the Bar". The Nazi tombstone came from the San Antonio Express-News. I found it while looking up stuff on Nazis buried at US cemeteries. The most recent post came from an article linked to by Mark Ames on his twitter feed. Last, but not least, while looking up the "Paul is Dead" rumors, I found that meatball dish.
In short, between my internet surfing, and looking up things and finding unexpected stuff, I get a lot of interesting things! (Part of me wants to go back to AH.com under an alias and find all the posts I made on those old threads, save them, and publish a book with as many as I can.)

No- all I "created" was the alternate scenarios. The images I posted? All but the tanker refueling the X-wing are real. (And that tanker refueling the X-Wing was posted on a USAF base's Facebook page.) That's the beauty of this thread and the counterparts on ah.com- all of it is REAL! Brazilian cavalrymen charging waving the German flag, Ben Franklin and Robert Burns on stamps of the USSR, a US pilot displaying the kills on his plane (Nazi, Italian, Japanese, and American), the symbol of the "Jewish Nazi Party of Japan"*, a Northern Irish banknote depicting the Space Shuttle, Imperial Stormtroopers marching carrying various flags from around the world. And those are just the images... * IRL, it's the logo of the Ananda Marga Yoga Society, but when you have a Swastika on a Rising Sun, surrounded by a six-pointed star frame...

You mean this image of a tanker refueling a X-Wing, nice picture, never knew it existed until you mention it.
