So, what sort of music does this board like? This is the thread to post whatever you're listening to at the moment. I'll start. Currently listening to "145" by the Cat Empire.

I guess I should also mention seeing how I'm playing Turkey in the Balance of Power 1961 game, and I'm giving news via a radio station that was around at the time, I've been getting into Turkish Pop and Rock music. It's really interesting seeing how for a while with both genres it was usually just Western Songs and bands. But with the Pop genre it was for a while, Western Songs which were arranged to oriental sounding motifs so the average Turk could get into it. This eventually lent the way to modern Turkish Pop Music, in which it was separate from other Western pop, it became it's own thing. (This was due to a song released in 1967) The same thing happened with Turkish Rock, when psychedelic rock became popular, most notably the works of Erkin Koray. He, unlike previous rock hits in Turkey was actually Turkish, and his first single was in 1967.

OK Computer sounds good, but the lyrical content is pretty much "woe is me, modern society sucks", whereas Kid A is musically great and lyrically can be interpreted any way.

Swingin Utters - Fistful of Hollow. I've seen them live alot lately and the Dustbowl picture reminds me of me living in Steinbeck Country in Cali.
