Sorry to doublepost, but I have to complain.
EU4 is being dumb, I play France and vassalize Brittany, land that rightfully belongs to France anyways as evidenced by real life, and all of Europe acts like I annexed Ming or something, and I get to face off against a clown car of random German dudes.
I wasted all of last night fighting a brutal coalition war to defend France against an army double my size, and I managed to peace out with only 2 provinces lost. I went to work having slept for only 3 hours.
I gotta quit EU4, this game is bad for my career and sanity.

I'm not really sure how Aggressive Expansion works in EU4 - it's yet to have any real effect in my Morocco game. I assume you force-vassalized Brittany, i.e. you vassalized them as part of a war, rather than diplomatically asking them to be your vassal?

Stellaris is looking pretty good, should be out on V-E Day
Hearts of Iron 4 is also looking in good shape, hopefully coming out D-Day

Speaking of Stellaris, I never understood how a "Xenophile" species would work IRL. Surely, it would be to your disadvantage to share your technology with less advanced vassals, who would take advantage of you and rebel later.

Surely, it would be to your disadvantage to share your technology with less advanced vassals, who would take advantage of you and rebel later. Also assuming that they're vassal. If they're part of your empire and feel accepted by your people, there's close to no reason for them to rebel (so i imagine Xenophilia is the Stellaris version of the Humanist group) In other news, anyone up for an EUIV multiplayer?

I'm not sure either, but I think that as you take non-cored territory (it doesn't care about reconquests or other wargoals) or force-vassal people, enemies will accrue AE at a level inversely proportional to distance from land taken. Once they pass a threshold, they look to form coalitions. This usually only becomes a big deal if you're fighting around the HRE. One by one, Oldenburg and Mainz and Ulm are little and weak. But joined as one, they can bring the mightiest empire down.

I've been watching this playthrough of the Stellaris beta on the Paradox Extra Youtube channel and now I'm hyped - I love how many options for your race's appearance and qualities are! Heck, I'm considering pre-ordering it, but I dunno how worthwhile that would be.

Hey Krall, how'd your Morocco go/ is going? I tried to do a Morocco game myself (I'd forgotten that you started one) and now I'm stuck... If I play for 3 more months, Spain declares war on me, and I can't beat em...

Hey Krall, how'd your Morocco go/ is going? I tried to do a Morocco game myself (I'd forgotten that you started one) and now I'm stuck... If I play for 3 more months, Spain declares war on me, and I can't beat em... Ah, I honestly haven't played any more of my Morocco game since I last posted. I don't know whether I just got lucky or what, but I only fought the Christian Iberian nations twice - once quickly to grab Tangiers back from Portugal, and another time when they declared war on Granada, who was my ally at the time. During the war for Granada Spain and Portugal landed some troops in North Africa, but always in groups of less than 10 regiments, which quickly got mobbed by me, Tunis, and Tlemcen. I have tried going to war with them a few other times, but every time I've given up and reloaded a save from before the war because they seemed to just pull a bunch of troops from no where right after I managed to win the initial battle. So, I'm afraid I don't have any advice, sorry.

I know this is basically advertising, but I've been making an AAR in which I create a Democratic Germany in Darkest Hour 1933-. It can be found here. Hope you guys like it!

I'm most looking forward to the inevitable mods for Stellaris. The overhauls for Star Wars, Star Trek, 40K, Firefly etc are going to be good; not to mention the countless flavour mods to include new species and tech and aghhhhh!
Two more days folks!

My potato computer probably won't be able to play Stellaris.
I will console myself by seducing my sister in CK2.

Legend states that when the clock strikes 3 o'HAK, the pearly gates of heaven will open, and out will come Stellaris and her loyal Blorg followers, and peace will come to and sweep over Sol III and the entirety of the galaxy.
Longest 2 days ever. We have V-E day and Mother's day (real mothers day! not that fake british one!) and yet I'm just here waiting for Stellaris

And abruptly, everything grinds to halt as Stellaris consumes your modstaff in the holy task of purging befriending the Xenos. Ive certainly enjoyed it, and Im absolutely psyched I will eventually also get the Star Wars game I always wanted on top of it. Overall, an absolutely solid Paradox release, even with a few nitpicks here or there.
