In the above example she's using the entire world population with more E Asian than White. If you picked say the population of the US, which I guess it comes from then she would be the more exotic, which is similar to the case you ask about. Nice example of making people question assumptions.

Not sure if you're referring to me, as I honestly spend more time on the internet than I do in England let alone the South, but yes, English people being horrified by casual interactions with strangers, especially those wishing them well, is A Thing(tm).

Can we get confirmation by our resident Southern Englander? It is a commody show and rather over the top in that example. Possibly its different in London but I've lived in Hampshire for ~40 years and people are generally quite willing to to friendly.
