This turned out awesome!
Here's how I saw the map before me and why I created mine as it was:
I saw that north of the kingdom of Ostergotia was a place called "Leutskia". Originally it sounded to me like some sort of Slavic nation that migrated with the Goths into northern Italy. So I took that idea and went with an ethnic map. Leutskian is closely related to Czech and Polish as they migrated from modern day Silesia following an invasion of their lands; gradually being pushed into the Po river estuary. They gained control of much of Northern Italy and having reached their zenith in 1300's a steep decline in their civilization occurred after Franco-Germanic invasions. Today Leutskians are barely holding onto their heritage as during the 1800-1900's their language and culture was banned in Gotlandia. However in the 1950's after nearly sparking a civil war they gained the Leutskia Autonomous Region in which they had full autonomy from the central Parliamentary Government in Milano (Miylan in Leutskian).
Side Note: Gotlandia (Italy) has a population that identify as "Italics" the name is merely an adaptation of their heritage as Ostrogoths. The region was named "Gotia" by Pope Revanchius XI in 1327 as a settlement between Ostrogoths and the Papal State. The language of Gotlandia is very close to OTL Italian with a mixture of "high german words" in the same way that common English is highly Germanic, with only highly descriptive words coming from Latin and French. I.E.: Chicken vs. Poultry
