Portugal and its Empire, including Macau and Port. India are teleported from July 1, 1946 to July 1, 2006.
What happens?
What does China and India do? What happens in Africa and the East Indies?

China would immediatly take macau, and the other colonies would be taken over. It would be interesting to see if portugal uses modern technology to fight in Angola.

China and India would take over Macau and Goa, probably by force. I don't know if 46 Portugal would have any real hope of holding its mainland African colonies given worldwide opposition and the 'support' the colonies would get from neighbouring African states.

Possible some EU sceme were by in return for giving up the African conolines Portugal gets developed? That's a possibility as no one really wants Portugal to stay in its 1946 status and it would also complicate issues within the EU which has just lost a member state. However I suspect there would be pressure for such help to also be linked to a restoration of democracy in Portugal, which the current government there would almost certainly oppose.
There might also be some reaction from NATO as Portugal was a member, possibly also including up-time Portuguese people outside the affected regions.

East Timor is relatively better off - no Indonesian-destroyed infrastructure in the 1946 version and its capital, Dili, is a sleepy Portuguese colonial town instead of a chaotic Asian city.
