Oh god, I just watched a few bits from Palin's endorsement speech. I forgot how every single sentence she utters makes me shrivel up in disgust.

An obviously ideal sequence of Presidents: (aka American Turnismo)
(1989-1993) George H. W. Bush (Republican)
(1993-2001) Bill Clinton (Democratic)
(2001-2009) George W. Bush (Republican)
(2009-2017) Hillary Clinton (Democratic)
(2017-2021) John Ellis "Jeb" Bush (Republican)
(2021-2029) Chelsea Clinton (Democratic)
(2029 -) George P. Bush (Republican)

According to polls, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump both hold sizable leads in Iowa.
Wonder how Hillary supporters would react if she lost Iowa and New Hampshire to Bernie. Not well, I'll wager...

That Bernie lead seems to be a significant outlier at this point.

They're heavily armed. It doesn't matter that both local authorities (which they claim have supremacy) or state authorities have ordered them to leave (of course, they may be LESS well-armed). And, the Obama administration is letting them get away with this. (Contrast that with the nationwide DHS-coordinated crackdown on Occupy- or the treatment of African-Americans who had actual claim to land taken by the government and then used for a wildlife refuge in 1979.) www.oregonlive.com/history/2016/01/oregon_standoff_feds_forcibly.htmlWere I President, I'd have federal law enforcement surrounding the place, blocking all ways in (Hey, if they put up no-fly zones to cover the immolation of Christopher Dorner or the hunt for the Tsarnaev brothers, they can do it here), and making sure that no food or other supplies get in. (Ironically, there are people who are trolling the guys there, sending them dildos and lube for the dildos.) boingboing.net/2016/01/14/oregons-domestic-terrorists.html

Who's willing to bet that Bloomberg will be taken more seriously by the media than any other third party candidate (with the possible exception of Joe Lieberman)? He's certainly no TR.

He has the money to get on the ballot in all 50 states and get a substantial portion of air time. He would probably completely screw up the swing state formula.

Sounds like he's just running if Clinton doesn't win. Which she will.

Perot got 19% and could win any. And none of these candidates will have the regional power of the Dixiecrats.

Meh, I think Cruz would be good for this country. Principled conservatism is what we need.
If Trump got the nod, I'd vote for him though.
From talking to physicians (and those of us in training) in medical forums, most think that Sanders is a direct threat to our profession. So I would be very scared if he won, but Hillary is survivable.
