Free China Prepares for Xinhai Revolution Anniversary!
Central Daily News - 中央日報
In a year where red tyranny spreads across Asia as a plague of rats, it is heartening always to remember our fathers and the strength and courage intrinsic to the Chinese spirit. Fifty years ago, China struggled under the yoke of foreign and imperialist oppression, saddled with unfit rulers and unfair treaties. Fifty years ago the struggle to free China from these began - with the Xinhai Revolution that toppled the corrupt, decadent Qing. Though betrayed by Bolshevism and collaborators, still the free government of the Republic that was created in those days stands free - a beacon of liberty and justice for the people of the mainland who chafe beneath the yoke of Moscow's Mao. Communism may have killed millions in China and sought to destroy the soul of China - but just as foreign colonialists failed to divide China, so too shall the foreign neo-imperialism of the Comintern fail to extinguish the legacy of the Xinxhai Revolution and the greatness of China!

People's Republic of China 中华人民共和国Anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution in the People's Republic of ChinaThis year's celebrations on October 10 mark the 50th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution, the first step toward the Chinese people seizing government power for themselves that was finally realized with the establishment of the People's Republic of China. While the illegitimate government in Taiwan Province proclaims the holiday for itself, the People's Republic of China can happily celebrate mark the day from the cold plains of Manchuria to the steamy jungles of Yunnan; from the deserts of the Gobi to the industrial cities of the coast. It was the Xinhai Revolution that allowed the government of more than 650 million people to come to light and free them from imperialist tyranny. For this anniversary, celebrations will be held along with a special expo in Beijing showcasing the improvements brought by the Communist Party that traces its roots to the Xinhai Revolution. Admission is, of course, free to all people.

روزنامہ جنگ The Daily Jang Newspaper NEHRU DEAD; PAKISTAN BETRAYED
An attack on a train transporting Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru of India has lead to the death of the much-loved leader. The attack happened as Prime Minister Nehru was travelling to Kashmir, to visit the region and prepare it for the transition from Indian authority to Pakistani authority, as agreed in the Treaty of Islamabad earlier this year. However, with Nehru dead extremists have seized control of India's government, violating the Islamabad Treaty by moving troops into the Indo-Pakistani military-free zone and refusing to allow Pakistani administrators and troops into Kashmir. President Ayub Khan declared the actions of this new government "a betrayal between brothers", stating that the end of strife between Pakistan and India was in sight before, but that the peace process has been shaken by these events. The President stated that the Pakistani military would move to mirror the movements of their Indian counterpart, but would remain in defensive positions only as talks between Pakistan and India continue. Though this is a massive backslide for Indo-Pakistani reconciliation, there is still hope that India's new government can be negotiated with. Details of New Constitution Revealed Following months of secrecy, the details of a new constitution for Pakistan have been revealed by President Ayub Khan. Apparently heavily influenced by the Bengali Language Movement, the constitution proposes to enshrine Bengali as a national language alongside Urdu and English, and the structure of Pakistan's new parliament includes two lower chambers - one for West Pakistan and one for East Pakistan - who have limited powers over their halves of the country, but must make national decisions collectively. The Bengali reaction to the constitution has been positive, but it remains to be seen whether Pakistan's new democracy will prove more stable than the old government. Indonesia to Join SEATO? Pakistani's representative in the Southeast Asian Treaty Organisation has recently proposed that Indonesia should be asked to join the organisation. Noting the country's size and strategic position, alignment with existing Western countries, and status as the second largest Muslim country in the world after Pakistan - already a member of SEATO - the arguments in favour of their inclusion are many. However, doubt still exists about the efficacy of the organisation, and whether other members of SEATO or even Indonesia itself will prove amenable to the idea.

PRAVDA - THE TRUTH, SINCE 1912_______ THROUGH >INTOURIST<, VISIT BEAUTIFUL CRIMEA ON A GUIDED TOUR OR CRUISE VISIT
SEE WHY WORKERS FROM ALL AROUND THE WARSAW PACT ARE TRAVELLING TO SEE THE PEARL OF THE BLACK SEA
ENJOY THE SUN, THE WINE, THE PEOPLE --- CHANCE OF A LIFETIME_______ JEWISH SETTLEMENT OFFER ANNOUNCED, YIDDISH CULTURE PROMOTEDThe Jewish Autonomous Oblast 36,000 square kilometers of Jewish socialist territory.Following the astounding successes of the Sixth Five-Year Plan, and the ongoing growth of the current Seven-Year Plan, conditions of life are improving rapidly all across the Soviet Union. As such, with the hardships of the past soon gone, many of the member-nations of the USSR's grand federation of peoples are finding more and more time for culture and civil society, reaping the bounties of a socialist economy. Among other measures to encourage young new talents from all around the country to come forward and try their hand at the progressive arts, the Ministry of Culture has announced a number of new incentives for the development of the Soviet Jewish Nation, promoting the use of the Yiddish language, which as of 1961 is fully recognized as the national language of the Soviet Jews. A culture that has given us entertainers such as the popular singer Nehama Lifshitz, it also has a long and rich history of theatre and literature. One single example of this new policy is that new bimonthly literary journal which began publication in August, Sovetish Heymland, which will be the Yiddish-speaking newspaper of the Union of Soviet Writers. In addition, Yiddish poetry, cinema and live performance arts will receive a number of similar governmental boons. Meanwhile, in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, the local authorities have announced a new plan to increase the settlement of Soviet Jews in the region, which will allow their nation to grow and consolidate. At the present, around fourteen thousand Jewish citizens of the Soviet Union inhabit the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, the capital of which is Birobidzhan - where Yiddish-language cinemas and theatres are also being planed, as part of the Ministry of Culture's new policies. In accordance with the new plan, each Jewish family that migrates to the area will be given a fully furnished home, and have their travel costs financed by the state. With new investments into local industries, employment will be abundant. According to one state official that spoke with Pravda, should the population of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast continue to increase has it already has, there is a high probability that it will be elevated to the status of a Jewish Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In other, unrelated news, a small memorial has been constructed in the city of Birobidzhan to honour the members of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee, who during the Great Patriotic War helped aid the fight against Nazi Germany.

Given that the Congolese government of Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba has been recognized in two successful UNSC resolutions, and has gained the full recognition of numerous European, Asian and Latin American states in addition to nearly the entire African continent, I - on Congo's behalf - again present the motion that the UNGA previously ignored, despite Lumumba's legitimacy.

After tense negotiations in a... smoke filled room. The United States votes in support of this resolution. We already agree with the principle of decolonization and support the right of self determination of the Congolese people. After the information leaked to us about the horrid conditions under which Mr Lumumba was held we cannot accept or continue to support Mr Mobutu's regime.
