Here I've just had a cracker of an idea for an entry for the latest MOTF, however I'm not capable of competing with the big lads, or even getting a map in on time for that matter. So, anyone interested in a collaboration? I've been trying to think of an idea for the current round but the best I can come up with is a weird sci-fi idea that would need a lot of worldbuilding before I could start and would require me to make maps in a style I have no experience in, so I'd be willing to try a collaboration. Sounds like a plan. The current plan involves 20th century POD and a documentary film crew. I'm thinking a city/town map, and a smaller one of the world. So PM for further details, obviously I can't give away the whole plan here.

We're getting close to the deadline for MotF 131 and we've yet to have any entries. Who's still planning on entering? Or would a week's extension be preferable?

Sorry, the past two months have been hectic af and I haven't had a chance to enter :/ This MOTF seems interesting though, I'll see if I can come up with something.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with! Considering we've yet to get any entries, I've decided to extend the entry period for a week. The deadline for MotF 131 is now the 21st of February.

So what challenges would you all like to see for MotF 132? Please feel free to post any new ideas you have, as well as repost ideas you like from within this thread and the Wiki list. Also, I'm going to be away from home (and internet access) for most of this weekend, so I may need someone to cover this contest for me and post the new threads on Sunday. Is anyone willing to help me out?

Sorry about this, but since I'm going to be away for most of Friday and basically all of Saturday and Sunday, and we've yet to get an entry (I know there are several people working on entries, but none have finished as of yet) I'm going to extend MotF 131 for a second week. The deadline is now when the voting thread is posted on Sunday the 28th of February.

I think we need to crack on and choose a challenge for MotF 132! Here are a few past suggestions I like: Let me know what you think, and feel free to post your own challenge ideas or resuggest ideas you like from earlier in this thread or the list of suggestions on the Wiki.

I like
The Badlands: Make a map showing a dangerous, sparsely populated region
the most, although I'm also a fan of
Make Others Do the Dirty Work: Make a map of a proxy war
and
Gerry's Salamander: Make a map showing a border (international or internal) designed to help or hinder a specific demographic group
May I also suggest a new one?:
Going on an Adventure (or other such names): Make a map detailing the adventure(s) of an explorer or other such travelers

Sorry. I keep intending to enter, but school always gets in the way and I get lazy.

Sorry. I keep intending to enter, but school always gets in the way and I get lazy. It's okay! No one's obligated to enter, and I'm not going to get angry at anyone for not entering. I think we have several people working on maps for this round that all should be in by Sunday, so thankfully this won't be a "dud" round.

"Gerry's Salamander: Make a map showing a border (international or internal) designed to help or hinder a specific demographic group" sounds the most appealing to me. I think that there's a lot of potential there.

Done. Also, thus far, I'm winning 131 by default xD Me and edgt are still working on our entry, so don't assume your victory is assured!

Okay, I was trying to get my and edgt's entry done quickly, but then I fell asleep and only just got up - hence the lack of new threads. Due to popular support "Gerry's Salamander" will be the challenge for MotF 132, and I'll get the new threads posted within the next hour. Sorry about the delay!
