It's been a while since I've posted on these forums. Anyways, here's another theory as to how things could realistically change in China in the near future : Perhaps the Communist party could end up splintering into two with one being more progressive and (somewhat) leaning towards liberalism and the other more conservative, maintaining the same ideals as how the government currently is. There has been speculation that China will become a democracy in the sense that different factions within the Communist Party will fulfill the same functions as parties do in the West.
