As some of you know, I tend to be a fan of Russian foreign policy. I'm also a fan of many independence movements, notably the Kurds. I was pleased to see this article on how Russia may be backing the Kurds. I was rather surprised to see how long Russia has been backing the Kurds... since the days of Katherine the Great... nationalinterest.org/feature/vladimir-putin-godfather-kurdistan-15358

I feel the opposite on Russian Foreign Policy, but I have been pro-Russian intervention when it comes to ISIS, and glad to see maybe Putin would be willing to see an independent Kurdistan (even if he doesn't wish to the see same of Dagestan or Chechnya)

Well, it's official. I'm against Kurdish independence.
Seriously, though, I think it's another case of a stopped clock being right twice a day.

Vladimir Vladimirovich is all about power, the Kurds are just a chip. If Putin could flip Turkey into the Russian camp he would abandon the Kurds.

It doesn't matter what Russia wants, it will be subsumed by the Chinese Yoke somehow.
