Local blood banks in Orlando are calling for donations, due to the high need. Governor Rick Scott issued a state of emergency for Orlando and Florida. The gunman has been identified as a US citizen from Florida, who had been investigated by the FBI in 2011 and 2012. He had a firearms license. He was carrying a handgun and an AR-15. He was alleged to have called 911 and stated his allegiance to IS. Numerous people were injured, including at least one police officer. Eleven Orlando police officers and three Orange County (Florida) deputies exchanged fire with the suspect. The FBI is the lead investigating agency. Orlando LGBT organizations have set up a crisis center. Two local Orlando sources I am relying on are WESH TV m.wesh.com/news/wesh-breaking-news/35579722And Central Florida (Cable) News 13 www.mynews13.com/news.htmlThe mayor of LA said they arrested a heavily armed man stating he was headed to the Gay Pride parade there. Edit: Toll may be up to 52

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the father's candidacy for the Afghan Presidency - he doesn't seem to have been a candidate in any previous election, and the next presidential election will be in 2019. He may have announced an intention to run in the next election, but he has not yet been a Presidential candidate as far as I can tell.

Another day another act of terrorism caused by some a--hole, it's almost like I don't care anymore but what kind of person would I be if I were to do so? the least I can do is offer my condolences to those poor victims.
Though what also sickens me in addition to the motives of the scumbag is how some folks are getting politicized over this, especially in regards to blaming video games for it; I thought we're supposed to be over this by now.

Yep, I covered it in a blog post of mine: kuboblog.blogspot.com/2016/06/a-day-of-infamy-shootings-in-orlando.html
