While it's not getting much (if any) news coverage, the OPCW just issued a report on the alleged chemical attacks in Ghouta.
On April 7, an alleged chemical attack killed a number of people in Ghouta. Some rebel media outlets alleged Syria was behind it, while other rebel outlets alleged the deaths were due to "suffocation", refusing to allege chemical use.

The US swiftly declared that Syria was responsible.

This despite skepticism from the Secretary of Defense.

The UK and France swiftly declared Syria to be responsible.
As a result, the US, UK, and France launched cruise missiles at alleged chemical weapons infrastructure. The US claimed that three sites were targeted. (Syria claims weapons were fired at far more, but many were shot down, a statement confirmed by opposition groups.)

One of those sites targeted was in fact inspected by the OPCW, which revealed there were no chemical weapons there, a fact reported by Robert Fisk, noted journalist in the region.

Needless to say, Fisk was targeted for criticism by various government officials and mainstream media representatives.
Well, the OPCW finally announced their investigation into Ghouta. They found no trace of Sarin. They found some traces of chlorine compounds, but no proof that they were connected to chemical weapons.

I have yet to hear calls for Trump, May, or Macron (or the "opposition members" who backed these strikes) to resign over this.
(BTW, last time there was a chemical attack on rebels in Ghouta, the OPCW found that the chemicals used were the same as the ones used to attack Syrian troops in Khan-al-Asal.)
