November 22. 1963
In the short time John F. Kennedy had been president of the United States many events had taken place.
from the bay of pigs invasion. cuban missile crisis.civil rights legislation stalling in congress.
Kennedy told his advisors "i would bet you ten to one in 64 i will be facing Governor Rockefeller in 64.
As president Kennedy got up from air force one he took his wife. jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy by the hand. as they left airforce one and took the steps on Dallas Texas airport.
"you cant say Dallas doesn't love you.:Governor Connally told president kennedy at the airport his wife of many years elle was by his side..
The president .The governor their wives got in the 1981 dark blue convertible and made their way to their destination. plaza hotel.
special agent william Greer.is driving .Roy Kellerman is in the vehicle as well.
Else where Former vice president Richard Nixon is waiting for a taxi. finally much to Nixon's relief a taxi comes..after losing the 1962 gubernatorial election to Governor of California Edmund Brown Nixon had put other things besides politics in his mind..
Sorry i took so long mr. Nixon the taxi driver tells the former presidential candidate.Nixon does not say a word but goes into the taxi..
'No one will notice i am in dallas.like no one will remember in 5 years j.f.k visited Dallas on November 22 1963/
John F. Kennedy had nearly defeated then Vice President Nixon in 1960.now he was beginning his reelection campaign, It nearly ended on this date. From out of nowhere shots rang out.disrupting the harmony of the ocasion.
One shot missed president kennedy but another hit governor Connolly instantly killing him.
News of the assassination attempt spread like wild fire. a woman in Dallas Texas went into a taxi .
Did you hear
President Kennedy had been shot ?
She looked in the back of the taxi to find Former Vice president Richard Nixon was siting there. Both Nixon and the woman stared at a each other for a moment before she took a seat.As Vice president lyndon Johnson get"s our of the bathroom at his hotel .A nervous secret service Agent pull"s a gun at the vice president.Woah that was a close one Lyndon Johnson vice president of the United States of America said to himself breathing a huge sigh of relief he was not shot to death..
Now the search for the suspect had begun
Dallas police.Lee Harvey Oswald was found in a Dallas movie theatre ,
His finger prints matched those found on the marconi rifle dumped in the Dallas book depository,While the shooting had taken place the man from uncle a spy story similar to james bond was being shot .
the pilot was stopped for the day.
The Gilligan's island pilot in hawaii was also stopped.Jerry van Dyke the brother of Dick van Dyke was playing the clumsy character Gilligan he took this over my mother the car despite his agent"s objections.
The piolet would air in 1964 as a t.v. movie and never becomes a series.
Lee harvey Oswald had been planing this for some time. boy now i get my chance for superstardom Oswald thought to himself..He took the marconi rifle from third floor of the Dallas bookdepository and began to fire at the presidents vehicle..
President Kennedy would survive a gunshot wound to the neck but he required surgery,Doctors at parkland have to carefully take out the bullet or kennedy could face severe tissue damage.
Jackie Kennedy .the president"s wife looked on as the doctors performed surgery on her husband. like most of the world her life seemed to stop this fate full day in history.
Vice President
Lyndon B.Johnson found himself in air force two surrounded by secret service agents they would remain in air just flying not landing anywhere. if there was a conspiracy. Vice president Johnson would be safe in the air,.The vice president called f.b.i director hoover. soviet premier khrushchev and his arch nemesis Robert Kennedy,to ensure everyone there would be a continuity in government.
President Kennedy had awakened form the operation. at Parkland memorial..thankfully he had survived the assassination attempt.
He would be told the information of the tragic death of governor Connally .Jacqueline Kennedy had embraced her husband from his bedside holding him very tight.
Robert kennedy like many americans that fateful day listened to News anchor Walter Cronkite glued tot he tube wondering what will happen next in Dallas texas.
Robert F. Kennedy was not just any american. he was the president's attorney general. confident and brother.
He was worried vice president Lyndon Johnson would use this to his advantage and seize power from his brother..
Lee Harvey Oswald was walking to his hotel. on mainstreet. a few days ago he took a pot shot at general walker nowe he hoped he succeeded at killing the president of the united states..
In his squad car J.D. Tippit pulled over."excuse me sir.
Oswald didn't say a word but took out his revolver.Tippit was a few minutes quicker and shot Oswald in the knee"s
Jeffrey hunter star of king of kings the searchers, watched the news and wondered if the president would pull through,.
He had in his left hand the script for the cage it was written by Gene Roddenberry for a show called star trek.
Hunter would play Captain Christopher T. Pike the skipper of the 1701 star ship constitution.leonard nimoy as Spock.deforest kelley as mccoy Susan Oliver would guest as vina. In the piolet. The ship Pike commanded was
the star ship Enterprise.
In the series however, the ship was the star ship Constitution,This would be explained in fan fiction and novels that Pike..Spock.Mccoy went to the star ship constitution the rest of the crew stayed on the enterprise.
President Kennedy would soon recover from his wounds.HE and his wife would return to D.c. and Kennedy would hear Lee Harvey Oswald was captured and would soon face trail within the next couple of months. much to many Democrats frustration civil rights continue to stall in congress.west Virginia senator
Robert Bryd would filer buster making a new world record for longest filibuster against a bill.
Senator Humphrey would tell his wife. muriel later on Bryd is the king of all windbags.
president Kennedy reads to John John Caroline stamp day for superman. john john tell"s his farther one day i want to become president..
Rhode Island senator John Pastore gave a very fiery speech at the 1964 Democratic National Convention..as President Kennedy shaked hands with president Kennedy he told him if you were from a southern state i would of picked you as running mate your a very good speaker.senator Pastore..
Governor Nelson Rockefeller of New York was expected to be the 1964 nominee for the republican party but when his wife
,Happy gave birth to Nelson junior it led to rumors Rocky as the governor was called and happy had an affair before he divorced his first wife .
Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater a much more conservative Republican surprisingly defeated Rockefeller for the california primary.
at the convention floor it was Rockefeller 34%Goldwater 54%/Nelson Rockefeller took the podium proclaimed he was going to protect the Republican party from extremismus.
The governor heard loud shouts of boo"s and hiss"s from the podium. much to the governor"s dismay when B movie actor Ronald Reagan gave his famous speech and received a loud thunderous standing ovation..
Senator Barry Goldwater picked representative Charles Halleck for running mate.Hallack was a alternative choice for Thomas Dewy when he ran against Truman in 1948.
On the Democratic side President Kennedy easily won the Democratic Nomination but Alabama Governor Wallace did try to primarry the president and only won two southern states.
Because of the Bobby baker scandal. vice president johnson had resigned his office immediately, now Florida Governor Leroy Collins was Kennedy's running mate.
President Kennedy
and Senator Goldwater would have one televised debate ,Goldwater defended states rights talked of a strong stance against the Soviet union., while president Kennedy talked of a test ban treaty and get civil rights legislation passed.
The president won reelection But goldwater picked up oakoholma .New mexico. Arkansa.
Former vice president Nixon studied the election results and wondered how the Republicans would do in midterms and 68 election.

Gall performs in u s. She proves quite popular.
Space .... The Final Frontier These are the voyage"s
of the star ship constitution.
Each week this was the narration actor Jeffrey Hunter gave in the opening of his television series star trek.
Jeff Hunter sat in his couch ,in his Los Angeles apartment Leonard Nimby was the only actor besides himself to go from the piolet to series. Majel was given a new role by Gene Roddenberry. George Takei. Nichelle Nichols .
Deforest Kelly. Andrea Dromm were all pleasant to work with. But Hunter was a movie star that worked with John Wayne in the searchers.Played Jesus in kings of king"s what the hell was he doing playing a star ship captain
named Christopher Pike week after week?
Hunter placed the bottle down as he sat on the couch the alcohol never took away the pain but eased the agony for a moment. The fact of the matter was his marriage to Dusty was falling apart. there was no love .no
passion. she became his manager telling him ,he should have more then a weekly series but be a star however, the call"s from director"s were not coming..
so maybe taking the lead role in star trek was not the answer but a way out of the routine of a failing marriage. eventually there would be a divorce between the two and the 4 years. or 5 if he is lucky when star trek is not
on the air. he could return to films.if there are no no movies to do. he could take another t.v. role.
some where was another woman, she wouldn't place so much demand on hunter telling him to take bigger parts demand more screen time.
Hell! Hunter thought Star Trek saved my life and i know it.Jeff hunter turned off the t.v. never finishing off the program he took the role to play in the series not to watch it.
science fiction fans loved the damm show to death. in time by 1970 something else would come and they would forget about star trek.
That young actor William Shatner was taking all the hot lead roles in series eventually
he would become a movie star or get this own series.Jeff wouldn't trade his place for his.Jeff went to his room and laughed aloud to himself.
Jeff Hunter watched the new"s President Kennedy had defeated Senator Goldwater 54% to 27%.
Hunter was a Republican but could see why Kennedy had won, The president was charismatic and young .He was talking of sending a man to the moon by the end of a decade. In star trek the enterprise could travel to another universe very quickly.
While his t.v. character was traveling in a advance space ship.In real life he was getting a divorce from Dusty Bartlet and struggling with a alcohol problem
Production of Star trek had stoped for lunch.
The cast and crew watched the 2nd inaugural of john Fitzgerald Kennedy it was January 1964 , The space race between the United States and Soviet Union was still on.Jeff Hunter was seated beside Leonard Nimoy who had been on the show since the cage,Deforest Kelly who replaced Paul fix in man trap and John Hoyt from the cage.
Hunter looked to Nimoy then to Kelly as they ate lunch. you GUY"s should see the scripts i get, i turned down Temple Houston to do Cheyenne Autumn with Charltan Hestan boy was that the right move but the b movie scripts i get.No wonder Reagan wants to do politics he will get better lines(laugh"s).I know how you feel ,Jeff Nimoy replies i went to man from uncle and outer limits but no steady work ,being a actor is not for the faint at heart.Kelly then spoke softly. Yeach i did gunfight at the ok corral years ago with Kirk douglas it was a screen gem but dammit i been type cast Gene tried to get me in the piolet and first episode.
Yeach were all lucky to be here .but that William Shatner i tell you he is going to be a star.
The Director yelled it"s time to start. Today"s show was Charlie x.Andre Dromm the crew"s yeoman had more lines in this episode
Nichelle Nichols, The actress who played Uhura got to sing in this episode.
Jeff Hunter liked the script Harlan Ellison had written City on the edge of forever.Hunter realised star trek had much substance to it although he longed to work again in feature films.
Leonard Nimoy and star trek creator Gene Roideberry had a falling out when Nimoy relesed a singing alnumin spock ars and starfleet uniform..Nimy considered leaving the sho. had Nimoy left rodenberry wanted Martin Landua or Mark Lenard to play spock..

Hunter believed eventually the public would forget about the adventure"s of the star ship 1701 constitution. The next episode to be shot.Joanna came on Jeff"s birthday/Jeff Hunter was surprised with a birthday cake and Nimoy sang the star trek opening monologue to the tune of bonanza. Star trek was on friday"s following Tarzan staring Ron Ely.Both hit show"s in 1966
In the mid 60"s
President Kennedy had signed the civil rights bill and lowering military advisors in south vietnam.
William shatner guest stared as finigan. a upper class man who tormented cadet pike. ina episode. in the episode balance of terror. This would be the last episode for the 2nd season.shatner would return int he third and final fourth season.
You could get a little comfortable here.Shatner told hunter. well. hunter grinned as he replied yes this can grow on you
.The fourth season would be the last but star trek would prove a ratings giant.hunter and the cast would return to voice a cartoon in the 70"s
The world would not forget the name Star Trek.
1969 was star trek"s last year in it"s fourth season. Now President Richard NIXON had succeeded Kennedy as president of the united states.
Jeff Hunter freed from star trek was now able to pursue other roles.Hunter tried to get the Mike Brady role in Brady bunch,He did not get it. but Hunter got roles in land of the lost. planet of apes t.v. series as guest star. The 70s was a new exciting era for Jeff Hunter"s acting career.
William Shatner got the role of Buddy Russo in French Connection film.
In 1970.Jeff Hunter stars in the film Eleven blue men written by the novelist .Berton Roueché.The film is critical hit and Hunter is very proud of his work. The success of the star trek cartoon and high ratings of the star trek 4 seasons in re runs lead to rumors of a revival either in film or t.v. with filming of more adventures of the star ship constitution
E

Richard Nixon had lost the presidential election in 1960 against Kennedy .lost governors race in 62 against Pat Brown .while nobody loves a loser everyone likes a comeback story and Nixon proved to be one he defeated George Romney. Governor Reagan to become the 1968 republican nominee. He told Senator Thurmond quite frankly there was no need for a southern strategy and he could have a liberal running mate and win..President Kennedy hoped his v.p. would run but he sought the Florida senate and easily won a seat there.. Nixon opponent would be governor Sanford and Governor Wallace would attempt to be a spoiler.AT night he dreamed of walking past the portrait of John Kennedy as he walked down the white house corridors.
Charles Percy was considered the Republican answer to John Kennedy.but did not seek the 1968 Republican nomination,

upload_2018-8-20_14-35-40.jpeg Many thought Ben murphey could not convincely play the captain of the star ship constitution but he did fine. Patrick Stewart stole the show as Data..murphey and Ramirez would later marry..Partick bachua hated playing picard and was happy to be let go. David Gerald had stayed on for all 7 seasons of t.n.g and felt picard should of been played by stewart..Murphy beat out many other young actors for the ryker role. When Monika Ramirez got he macha hernandez role the character was changed from security officer to science officer.

1964

E
Before star trek the motion picture Jeff hunter would co star in cross and the switch blade and play a cop.He would soon convert to Christianity.after a long drinking session he threw his bottle across the floor and watched billy graham preach.
