Would a Fascist Russia be more of an expansionist power or more of a status quo power? In real life, Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Imperial Japan were all expansionist powers. However, it's worth noting that Russia has much more territory and probably resources than all of these countries had. So, I was wondering about your thoughts on this. Also, for the record, Russia can eventually go Fascist in some scenarios where the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution is avoided in Russia.

It might depend on the circumstances but a fascist Russia is likely to be expansionist if only because its going to be intensely nationalistic. Probably also with a strong religious theme as the 'champion' of Orthodox Christianity. Of course this will mean a lot of tension with both internal minorities who could be repressed far worse than under the Czars and neighbours. A fascist/racist Russia is likely to want revenge for the Japanese victory in 1904/05 and seek to expand its influence/territory in N China. One with a strong religious tendency is also going to be interested in 'liberating' Constantinople from the Turks. Its going to make neighbours in Europe fairly nervous as well and could see a Franco-German-British reconciliation if its looking strong enough. Assuming here its more like a much larger fascist Italy/Spain with a strong religious and socially conservative stance rather than the bat-shit insane Nazis in Germany.
If this fascist Russia emerged in about the same period as the other fascist states, especially Nazi Germany, its going to be complex. Russia and Germany will be natural opponents, both because of their similar designs on expansion and because of German?Nazi racism even apart from anything else.
One issue is would the Romanov monarchy survive and in what form?
