My college transcript got updated, and while it did not give me all the courses I expected (no English Lit), I did get Physical Science and Intro to Computers, which were both surprises. Hopefully the college will accept my Pell grant money soon.

Finally got to see Zootopia after it was out for, what, nearly 2 months? It was overall a pretty great film, the creativity was great, the story was great, the characters were really good (not quite great), the locations were great, and I really respect that they kept all the animals at about the correct size (far to many movies that make the creatures shorter or taller than they should be). The one thing I really hated about the movie though was the villain. By god did I hate who they choose as the villain. I'll leave it at that.

Jegus, I really need to get around to seeing that. At least I'll be since the new Captain America in a few days, so I won't be waaay behind with that one.

Could I get some suggestions for reading material?
I'll be honest I haven't done much lately except for "popular" authors like Stephen King or the new Harper Lee novel. For some reason I haven't been able to focus and I get bored quickly so I'm going to try and read a lot of books.
I enjoy superhero comics (almost all types) and The Walking Dead. Yes I know I'm very basic.
I was thinking of finding some classic Sherlock Holmes novels, but I'm not sure what else. Maybe I could go back and finish Dracula.

Well, they don't really fit with your stated interests, but I'd recommend the Discworld books to almost anyone. They're all at least decent, with many being amazing, somehow being funny and silly whilst also dealing with very serious subject matter in a respectful and mature way. The whole series started out as a parody of Conan the Barbarian and similar books, and ended up being a really interesting and detailed magic-punk world, of a sort. There's a lot of Discworld novels, most in a collection of series centred on a certain character or group of characters. There are a lot of confusing reading guides out there, but each book is a generally self-contained story so you can start basically anywhere and read in any order without much of an issue. The Watch/Ankh-Morpork/Moist von Lipwig series starting with "Guards, Guards" is generally where the world shines, in my opinion, and where most of the technological and social development gets shown off in detail.

I'm finding a sick pleasure in how much people online are turning on the Force Awakens. It makes me smile and feel self satisfied as a person who is a humungous Star Wars nerd (legit Star Wars nerd, and loving both the prequels and original trilogies) and came out saying "Fuck this movie and everything its about."

Listen with the legit Star War Nerd comment, I have so many books, comics, and games on Star Wars and have spent so much time just reading and playing all sorts of non-movie content I think the term "legit Star Wars Nerd" has at least some merit.
I do love the prequels, I can admit though they are objectively not as good as the prequels, except for Episode III which is a good movie and is better than Episode VI and is nearly as good as Episode IV.
I have a lot of things against The Force Awakens that'd be too long to write in a single post, it'd come off as a manifesto or an equivalent to Red Letter Media's (fuck those guys by the way) two and a half hour long review of The Phantom Menace.

I had a busy day yesterday, visiting one of the world's largest RC flying events- and got to see some cool RC planes. Today I went to visit a farm and had sheep cheese for the first time!

Less than a week before classes, and I found out that a needed one got cancelled. I can take it online, but I'd have to pay $600 or more for it...plus the book. (And I don't have that sort of money...I would beg for it here, but I don't know what our policy is...) I'd also have to find a new class to take its place. (Business Law II or Anatomy and Physiology.)

I've got limited time to do so...but you can send me paypal, if you wish. (for my email, put an underscore between the "orville" and the "third" and it's at yahoo.com.) I did get some good news- the county will pay for the books for all the classes I'm still taking locally. (I need to send them updated info on my new classes...and apply for the funds for the textbook and the other stuff). I'm likely to be taking the toughest course in the program- Anatomy and Physiology. (If I pass, I'll have to pick a different course this fall...and I'll be ahead of schedule!)
