Maybe something like a map over the spread of a new religion within a few years or something. Or something statistical would be cool^^ but that's just what I think, might be super lame xD Hmm, how about this:

The new threads need to go up later today - would everyone be okay with "No Other Gods Before Me" as the challenge for MotF 137, or is there another challenge people would rather see?

The entry period for MotF 137 is over halfway through, so it's about time we choose a challenge for MotF 138! If you have any ideas for map challenges at all feel free to suggest them, as well as reposting any suggestions you like from earlier in this thread.

So I'm currently working on a map for the MOTF but, as typical, running out of time due to being on vacation. Any chance of an extension?

I'd like an extension (and I've talked to MRL, who also wants to enter), because I have an idea. Is the sudden spread of a religion in a single country enough for it?

Yes, that would be enough to qualify. Alright, since several people would like an extension and we've yet to get any entries, I'll be extending the current round by a week. I'll edit the OP to make it official soon.

There are only a few days left in MotF 137, so we need to choose the challenge for MotF 138! Here's the list of challenges I posted earlier - please let me know which ones you like, and feel free to repost old suggestions from the Wiki list or earlier in this thread, and post any new challenge ideas you have!

Ugh, I don't think I'll be able to make it on time. Between the vacation and summer school starting up, it looks like I can't finish in time. I'll finish it anyway and post it here later, but it really sucks.

Perhaps the problem is that an entry like this really feels more like Map of the Month material rather than Map of the Fortnight.

If nothing else, I'll take a missing page from one of my former timelines (the Slavin Empire timeline for those of you who remember), and depict the rise of the religion I called Duelerism.
Actually, thinking back on it, I do have an image of the spread of Zranbrazerism (from my Kurdish Empire timeline) that I've never posted. Maybe I can just post/ remake that and automatically hand the win over to you, Krall.

My aesthetic tastes are notoriously unconventional, after all, though that mainly comes through with flags rather than maps.

It might be because I'm tired, but I can't for the life of me remember what your entry idea was. Mine was taking a pretty large map to show the spread of Christianity through a successful Sassanid Empire and the distribution of the various churches within it (Coptic Church, Syrian Church, etc.).

If I were to make a new map, it'd be a contested contest definitely (was that redundant?). But, if I were to use the current map I have laying around, a worlda with basic lines and colorings, I can guarantee you that you'd win
