So which of the posted challenge suggestions do you all like? Or are there any others you'd prefer?

Are we going to do another extension? I am working on my map right now, and if I do stay focused I can probably submit it tonight, but since I doubt I'll stay focused tomorrow or the day after would be more likely times for me

I think I can get my map done on time, but if we don't get at least one other entry we'll have to extend the round again.

Welp, I sleep too long and wasn't able to get my entry in on time. Since we haven't had any other entries either, I'll extend this round by another week. Also, I'd like to know what challenges people (other than minnesotanationalist) would like to see for MotF 138! I'll post the list of challenge suggestions I liked from the previous page again, but please do feel free to let me know if there are any other suggestions you like from within this thread or from the Wiki, or if you have any challenge ideas you'd like to suggest.

I had a bit of a rough week, so I couldn't start my entry yet... But I hope to put in some crunch and finish it until the new end date (the 19th). Would something akin to the "pin the Zion on Eurasia" trope be fitting..? I had to retool my original idea, so I'm brainstorming xD
Also this challenge would get my vote:

MotF 137 is close to ending - I believe I'll be able to get my entry in on time, is anyone else still planning on entering?
Also "Tiny but Economically Prosperous!", "Castles Made of Sand", and "Ab Urbe Condita" are the only challenge suggestions with any support at the moment. Please feel free to state which challenges you'd like to see for MotF 138, but if there's no clear favourite I'll just choose from amongst the challenges with the most support.

It took me a bit to write down the summary. I'm entering, just let me copy-and-paste

Unfortunately I won't be able to get my entry for this round done on time - I've had a series of bad days where I've had no energy to get anything done, and I'm going to be busy this Sunday so there's not enough time left to get it done. Fortunately I believe someone else is making an entry and should get it done on time, so we should get the requisite minimum 2 entries, at least!

New threads! Sorry they're so late - Sunday and Monday were very busy for me and I didn't have the time nor energy to put them up then. I went with the " Tiny but Economically Prosperous!" challenge suggestion as it's the only one of the most popular suggestions that hasn't been run previously.

Just out of curiosity: does the microstate in question have to have a territory of less than 1,000 km2 (386 sq mi) and a population of less than 500,000 or is it enough if one requirement is fulfilled? Or does it take the qualitative approach of a microstate having to suffer from "inconsistency, arbitrariness, vagueness and inability to meaningfully isolate qualitatively distinct political units" (that is a definition Wikipedia has, FYI)?

The "inconsistency, arbitrariness, vagueness and inability to meaningfully isolate qualitatively distinct political units" bit on Wikipedia is about the quantitive approach to defining microstates, not a definition in itself. There's no strict criteria that the microstate has to meet in order to qualify for this round - it simply needs to be a sovereign state with a very small population and/or land area. I'll add that to the entry thread OP to make it clearer.

That's what happens when one reads such a messy sentence when one just got up xD But that's good to hear, that gives one a lot of freedom.

Hey Krall, do we have a MotF challenge where we have to make a map that's specifically ASB?

Hey Krall, do we have a MotF challenge where we have to make a map that's specifically ASB? There are some ASB challenges on the Wiki list under the category "FPS-ASB" - here are a few examples:

The current entry period is about halfway done and we've yet to have any entries - who's still planning on entering? Would anyone benefit from an extension?

I'm planning on entering - I haven't started my entry yet, but it's a microstate, so it shouldn't take too long to map - but we do need a minimum of 2 entries for a contest. Is anybody else thinking of entering?

Provided me and iserlohn get our entries in on time then the current round will end this Sunday, and we've yet to choose a challenge for the next one! Please let me know which challenge suggestions you like the look of, and feel free to post any new ideas you have or resuggest ideas from earlier in this thread or from this list on the AH.com wiki. Here are a few suggestions I like the look of - let me know what you think!
