(The three major ideologies of the Martian Empire and thus most of mankind in Solar Strife following the conclusion of the Third Solar War (Commonly known as the Third Solar Strife) with what is known as the Terracide which resulted from the Third Reich deciding to implement the Ragnarok/Gotterdammerung Option and annihilate all life on Earth with the Purifier.
I tried to make the three some what recognizable to otl Western ideals on some level and somewhat different at the same time as well as with a autocratic and conservative/reactionary bent given how seriously screwed up Solar Strife got before the Terracide.)
(PS: Solar Strife is my own original science fiction universe that starts with a somewhat cliche Nazi Victory and then branches off from there as the Cold War intensifies, the Reich loses it's allies in South Africa, Argentina, the Middle East and Tailand one by one and is contained within Fortress Europe just in time for the ideaological struggle to get complicated and reinvigorated by the Colonial Rush in the Solar Era and the ever incressing numbers of Telepaths been born ever since the first handful were born in the early 1880's. - - - a Big factor in the Nazi Victory in Europe was the 1943 internal coup that put Theodorich Friedmann "a powerful fiction telepath" in power in an alliance with Reinhard Heydrich and Albert Speer after what is popularly called Night of Blood and Tears)
Martian Federalism: (Sometimes, often derisively, called Anglophone Federalism)
Martian Federalism is a democratic, federalist ideology. It's primary platform is the pursuit of a galaxy where all of Humanity is united under a single all encompassing democratic federation with it's primary capital established on Mars in the Sol System and secondary cultural and administrative capitals established as necessity and practicality dictate.
Martian Federalist are evenly split between republicanism and monarchism, favor low to moderate political and economic centralization and the direct appointment of military governors and colonial bureaucrats and administrators by MarsGov.
Martian Federalism has the dominant ideology of the Martian Empire for most of it's history and enjoys a good deal of public support and approval from the population of Mars and a majority of the first and second phase colonial spheres although support greatly diminishes the further one travels into the third phase colonial sphere and beyond into the most recent fourth phase colonial sphere.
Martial Federalist are internally divided between monarchist and republic factions with the monarchist been by far the largest and strongest of the two factions. The monarchist themselves are not a monolithic bloc however and are split between constitutional and absolutist branches with the Constitutional Monarchist frequently aligning with the Republicans to check the power and influence of the Absolute Monarchist and maintain the status quo. This is a situation that neither the Constitutional Monarchist or the Republicans are entirely satisfied with but has endured largely because what are seen as the unacceptable alternates in the form of the opposing Absolute Monarchist and the Centralist respectively as well as the fringe Introvertist and Militarist supported Imperialist.
Martian Centralism: (Sometimes, often derisively, called Anglophone Centralism)
Martian Centralism is a semi-democratic, bureaucratic-centralist ideology. It's main agenda is the establishment of a single highly centralized and highly organized an efficient bureaucratic government run from Mars in the Sol System.
Along with the Absolute Monarchist, the Centralist are the primary opposition to the long governing coalition between the Constitutional Monarchist and Republican that follow the ideology of Martian Federalism. Centralism is the second most popular ideology in the Martian Empire and has long competed with it's Federalist rivals for political dominance although it has only occasionally achieved power and only in a loose unholy alliance with the Absolute Monarchist who happen to be Federalist and thus rivals, as a result the Centralist governments have all been short lived and horribly unstable, fraught with infighting and disagreements between them and their Absolutest partners.
Martian Centralist are evenly split between monarchist, bureaucratic and corporate factions each with a different take on how their ideology should be implemented and what form it will ultimately take. The Monarchist naturally favor a highly centralized monarchical state that inevitably takes a highly absolutist form and are the dominant faction of the Centralist ideology. The Bureaucrats are the second largest faction of the Centralist and are split between supporters of a democratic or semi-democratic system or meritocratic-technocratic system, they believe in having a ridgedly organized state with multiple layers of government to ensure effective control and oversight over all branches of state for maximum accountability and minimal corruption and waste. The Corporatist are the third and smallest faction of the Centralist and favor an instrusive and paternalistic Corporatist state with a highly organized and extremely ridged government and an elitist class based society, however despite their autocratic leanings they are different from the Absolute Monarchist and the Imperialist in that they believe in retaining some level of democratic tradition however limited it might be and are critical of dictatorships, totalitarianism and outright military rule, instead favoring highly elitist oligarchicism or outright aristocracy over outright autocracy and despotism.
Martian Imperialism: (Sometimes, often derisively, called Anglophone Imperialism or Neo-Feudalism)
The Imperialist believe in the establishment highly autocratic totalitarian state under the supreme rule of either an absolute monarch or an autocratic supreme leader with the full power of the state and it's potential under their control, they very much believe in one leader, one voice or one vision, one purpose and "peace through power".
A central tenet of Imperialism is the aggressive expansion of Martian power and influence in all directions, colonizing as many worlds as possible and showing the rest of the galaxy nothing but absolute unity and strength. They tolerate no dissension and are outright disdainful of democratic governance, liberalism and pacifism which along with social irresponsibility and moral decline they believe are directly to blame for the lead up to the Third Solar Strife and the billions of deaths that followed and ultimately resulted in the irreversible devastation and ruin of planet Earth... the lost Eden.
Humanity must be united under one nation ruled by MarsGov from the Sol System, it must rise above the weakness and decadence that lead to the tragedy of the Third Solar Strife and it must never again tolerate division or dissent like that which lead to the collapse of the United States and the near crippling of the Commonwealth of Nations in the last years of the war.
Each colony will be ruled by several dozen hereditary governors appointed by the Emperor or the Lord High Chancellor of the Martian Empire, each governor may be granted or earn various titles of increasing respect, prestige and importance in the hierarchy starting with Baron then rising to Earl, High Earl, Duke and finally Arch Duke.
Ultimately all the hereditary governors regardless of their place in the hierarchy answer too and are accountable to the Lord Admirals who patrol multiple star systems and each govern and administer a Star Sector/Star Cluster under MarsGovs authority. Unlike the hereditary governors the High Admiralty is not hereditary nor is the rest of the military with positions awarded according the personality, ability and loyalty (with loyalty been the most important quality) although military families and military tradition among families is strongly encourage and to be rewarded.
Ultimately Martian Imperialism looks to the Victorian Era and earlier and rejects many of the values of the 20th and 21st centuries while retaining the post racial and multi-cultural identity of the Commonwealth of Nations that the Martian Empire largely arose from and condemns and rejects Fascism and National Socialism as fiercely as it condemns and rejects Democracy and Communism, Telepathic Discrimination and Telepathic Supremicism.
It's at most a reactionary ideology and a fringe one at that although support for it within the military has always been somewhat disturbingly prevalent and over the centuries it has slowly but surely grown in strength and numbers, particularly as the Third and Fourth phase colonial spheres are growing more distant and resentful of MarsGov authority and various hostile alien powers size Humanity up and contest it's right to continued expansion.
