Plugins: We're a Spigot server currently running with these 11 plugins:
-PermissionsEx (Permission management - Admins only)
-CoreProtect (Anti-griefing tool - Admins only)
-WorldEdit (Creative editing tool - Admins only)
-Essentials (General features - Admins only)
-EssentialsChat (General chat features, including private messaging using /msg, /tell, and /r)
-EnchantmentExtractor (Allows removing enchantments off items using books, resulting in enchanted books)
-CraftingPlus (Adds crafting recipes for saddles, name tags, and a few miscellaneous items)
-Trading (Allows for secure trading using the /trade command)
-BetterBeds (Allows for passing the night with only 1/2 of all players in bed)
-Lockette (Allows for locking doors, chests, and other containers using signs)
-Pickboat (Prevents boats from breaking into pieces when they crash - instead they drop as boats)

Whitelist: The whitelist is currently active, please post in this thread or contact an Admin to be added to the whitelist.

Server rules:
No PvP, stealing, griefing, or building on another player's land (you may do any of these if you have permission from the player in question, and accidental violations will not be punished). Try to keep the server a friendly place for all users, so do not post links to graphic content (pornography, gore, etc.) or express clear prejudice, and please be considerate of other players.

Hello! This is a Minecraft server I originally set up to server AH.com's community, but as I've now mostly moved here it shall be open to both AH.com and AltHistoria. If you want to be whitelisted please post your Minecraft username in this thread or send it in a PM to me and I'll add you as soon as possible.

This server is hosted remotely by Minecrafted for the price of $1.99 a month. Not a lot, but I'd appreciate any and all help with paying it, so if you're feeling generous please send a few bucks my way through PayPal - my e-mail is [e-mail]. I'll announce all donations made towards the server in this thread, and I'll try to keep you all informed of how many months worth I've got left in the account (though if my PayPal account goes empty it will just be taken out of my bank account, so we're in no danger of being terminated if we don't get enough donations).

Anyway, please feel free to use this thread for general Minecraft discussion, as well as discussing anything and everything about the server. If you have any questions about or issues with the server, please feel free to ask them here or send me a PM!

two questions
1: Is this a completely new map (very little's been done to it), or is this a map that's been in use for a while now. You make it sound like in the chat it's one that's been in use for a while now.
2: Is it a flat map, or is it a regular map with terrain and all of that?

1. It's been in use for a while, but there's still a lot of unused space. Generally you're allowed to build anywhere provided you're a reasonable distance away from anything another player has built. The island that you start on is called Midheyjar and is owned by me, so if you'd like to build on there please ask first and I can find a place for you to build.

2. It's a regular map, with a world border at 5000 blocks away from the spawn (so it's a 10,000 x 10,000 square).

Here's a link to a roughly 1:5 scale map of the server - as you can see there's still a lot of land unexplored and not built on.

I'm honestly not sure. Premier Taylerov seems to be pretty active at the moment, and I think they're active in the afternoon/evening GMT - I'll be on a fair bit around that time too - but I dunno about anyone else, I'm afraid.

Just so you're all aware, I've turned fire spread off at the request of several users, so fire can be used for aesthetic purposes without your house potentially burning down.
