Federalists: The Federalists have held Congressional majority for two straight years now, thanks to their victory in 1796, alongside with the help of John Adam's victory, and Jonathan Dayton being an effective leader in Parliament as well, but due to Adam's mixed results in office it is actually hard to gauge a good prediction on how the Federalists will do.
Republicans: The Anti-Federalist party has now officially renamed themselves to the Republican parties, in both honor of the United States' government of democracy, and in inspiration of Thomas Jefferson. The renaming seems to have been working in areas outside the main cities and into the many farmlands of the US. With Nathaniel Macon as the chosen leader for the party in Congress, and Thomas Jefferson as the candidate, many Republican politicians are predicting a large gain in seats this election.
