Josip Broz Tito was a unifying figure who managed to reunite the lands of Yugoslavia through a brutal guerrilla war against the Germans, Italians and their other Axis allies and puppets. However, he nearly got himself killed during one of the German offensives against the Partisans (or rather, was nearly captured).
So what if Tito did get killed during one of the German offensives? An immediate effect would be that the Partisans would greatly weaken, but not completely destroyed. Despite this, I don't see a Yugoslavia per se surviving after the Germans are defeated, but it might result in a pro-Soviet communist regime in Serbia (plus Montenegro and perhaps parts of Bosnia) arising, as well as a non-communist Croatia on the Western side during the Cold War. Slovenia would also be a part of NATO as well, and both Slovenia and Croatia might be awarded American aid down the road.
As for a possible Stalinist regime in Serbia, I can imagine that Stalinist Serbia would be one of the most loyal Soviet puppets alongside Bulgaria, but I am not sure if Stalin would try to push for a union between Serbia and Bulgaria, given that they were both enemies in both World Wars. However, if those states would become loyal allies of the USSR, then I guess that Stalinist Serbia would consist of Serbia, Montenegro and possibly bits of Bosnia while Bulgaria in this case might be awarded with portions of Macedonian territory. Alternatively, Macedonia could be partitioned between Stalinist-aligned Serbia and Stalinist-aligned Bulgaria, creating a precursor for a completely Stalinist-influenced "Yugoslavia" minus Croatia.
Socio-political speaking, Croatia will definitely have a huge campaign of de-Ustasification if the Western Allies are serious about purging anything closely related to the Ustase.
