Well, from the Devenger Precinct on the border between Greenville and Greer, in the Palmetto State, we have the latest results! On the Democratic side for 4th. District nomination: Doris Lee Turner: 27 Brandon Brown: 17 On the Republican side: Governor: John Warren: 346 Henry McMaster (I): 121 Attorney General: Alan Wilson (I): 292 Todd Atwater: 135 4th. District: William Hamilton: 258 Lee Bright: 198 Democratic turnout was half of last time, though the vote totals for each candidate were two less than last time. Republican turnout was similar to last time, which was a surprise. In other SC politics news, a candidate in the 7th. District is running with a pro-Palestinian platform. theintercept.com/2018/06/24/mal-hyman-south-carolina-7th-congressional-district-palestine/Kate Arrington, who defeated Mark Sanford was severely injured in a car accident over the weekend. Donald Trump was delayed in arriving at a rally to promote himself and McMaster (and perhaps others), but he was delayed an hour due to weather. One voter was somewhat vocal in why he intended to vote for Democrats (not enough to cause interference, though). He was afraid of a trade war affecting the BMW plant, a major employer in the area. (Several employees of BMW voted at the precinct today.)

From my home precinct, we have the latest results from the SC Elections! Turnout was high, exceeding 50%- even before absentees.
McMaster was the worst-performing Republican on the ballot in my precinct, but he still won over Smith, 542 to 302. Haley got two votes, while Gowdy got one. Alan Wilson, the Attorney General, is also not as popular as many Republicans. The same applies to William Timmons, the House nominee. (Of course, him winning means a special election, which may mean more money for me!) Jason Elliott, the only openly gay GOPer in the State House won handily, which is surprising. (My parents likely did not back him.) Voters in my district voted no on making the Superintendent of Education an appointed office.
