As he stepped out of the car, he suddenly felt a brief but intense pain in the back of his head before all went black.
Several hundred yards away, the sniper put his gun down before picking up his radio. "Target neutralized" he said.

Hunt hummed to himself as he watered his daffodils. He was waiting for confirmation on Bush's removal.
Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye Hunt spotted a man with a pistol approaching him. Quickly, Hunt drew his own pistol out of his pocket and shot the would-be assailant twice in the chest.
As stunned onlookers gathered, Hunt did his best to conceal his shock. The bastard tried to kill me too! he thought.

Hunt eyed the list wearily. It was supposedly a list of junta officers in league with Bush. Hunt wasn't sure whether it was genuine or a feint made by somebody looking to further destabilize the already fragile junta.
There was still some good news though. Goldfein was finally coming out of his coma, though it appeared he had suffered a blow to his mental facilities. It remained to be seen whether he could recover enough to be an effective leader.
