Seriously, what's everybody's problem with Nickleback? Because he isn't even worth a dollar. *runs before he's pelted by stones*

How can anyone not be terrified by Trump? He's a monster.

How can anyone not be terrified by Trump? He's a monster. I'm not sure if that article is genuine- though his remarks on the NFL are bad enough, given what we now know about concussions.

I think that this might damage him- at least somewhat. Those who back him for his brusqueness will likely back him anyway. Those who are uncomfortable with backing Kim Jong-Un* have most likely not been willing to back Trump already. *Even if you're a rabid Putinphobe, you have to admit he's done more positive things than Kim Jong-Un. Further, he's more even-tempered.

Honestly, all they have to do is move both of their arms to the waists to make it actually look like they're wrestling. I think 90% of Whitesboro would be happy with that. I personally am not very concerned with the emblem, as the hands are clearly on the shoulders and not around the neck, and the Native is doing the exact same thing back.

Anyone watching the State of the Union tonight?

Not me. I'm watching "Clue", when I am watching TV. I'm also not watching the response, despite it being from someone from SC. www.yahoo.com/politics/nikki-haley-is-the-opposite-1341329225973814.htmlWhile my opinion of her is still negative, I did like her response to Charleston, which was not your standard knee-jerk right-wing response. Further, she has come under attack by her fellow Republicans for racist reasons.

Ted Cruz's most recent (first?) ad:
Is it just me, or are the ads so far just satires of political ads?

Well, Nikki Haley's speech is the one getting a lot of attention, at least from where I'm sitting. There are quite a few Republicans that were pleased with it. (Some were people in my non-immediate family.) However, there are a lot of Republicans who don't like it. Part is over the immigration issue. www.wyff4.com/news/trump-coulter-others-slam-gov-nikki-haleys-response/37435748Then, there's another statement that didn't get as much attention- this one on same-sex marriage. www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/01/14/gop-dead-enders-fight-to-stay-anti-gay.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+thedailybeast%2Farticles+%28The+Daily+Beast+-+Latest+Articles%29Of course, she is facing criticism from another angle. Her comments on how the US never barred immigrants based on race or religion are getting her called out. My thoughts? I'm no Haley fan (and for those who were not on the old board or weren't there when I first told the story of how she went after a classmate of my brother's, I'll tell you later), and I still am not. That said, she has proved to be better than I expected, especially in light of recent events. She may be wrong on a lot of things, but she does have a heart, unlike many Republicans.

Anyone want to make any predictions for Iowa and New Hampshire?
I'm going to say Trump wins Iowa and New Hampshire. Bernie wins New Hampshire, Hillary wins Iowa.

Think Cruz will take Iowa, he just needs to keep his coalition of evangelicals for 2 more weeks. That could throw New Hampshire wide open, but Trump has to be the favorite there still.
As for the Democrats, the first to states are great for Sanders. New Hampshire is next door obviously, and Iowa has a low turnout (compared to an open primary) caucus system that will blunt Clinton's advantages. Both states are also really white, who Sanders does better with compared to minorities against Clinton. Iowa could go either way, but Clinton probably needs to win Iowa to have a chance to win New Hampshire.
